Hello! My name is Scott Schumacher. I’m a web designer, holistic practitioner, and personal/business coach who helps small businesses and “soloprenuers” share their passions on the web and “show up bigger and better” in their business, life, and personal calling.
It all starts with a simple question: “What’s ALIVE in you today?”
I value the ongoing relationships that I build with my clients in serving their immediate and ongoing needs with regard to web design, web content management, and those “ah-ha!” moments that move them forward.
I have been designing web sites since 1993, when I created a Macintosh help resources page for a friend’s startup internet service provider. As an Apple enthusiast, I have always immersed myself in technology and tools that allow an artist to simply create.
In my professional life, I spent nine years as a contracted “Macintosh Specialist for Hire”. Throughout this time, I worked for companies such as Imation Corp., American Family Insurance, The Minnesota Historical Society, Mayo Clinic, and for six months early in my career, the internal helpdesk for Apple Computer. Somewhere in between these contracts, I studied massage therapy and other healing arts, and became a Certified Massage Practitioner in 1999, and a Reiki Master Teacher in 2004. I also volunteered on a suicide crisis line, and have held board leadership positions in non-profit organizations – ranging in focus from choral arts, massage and touch movement, to sustainable living and personal growth. Most recently, I completed a 28-hour coach training program from The School of Coaching Mastery, and am continuing my coach training and learning in many different ways, and soon I’ll be offering lots of information and opportunities to my website!
My experience in technology and web design has always been an asset to me in the pursuit of all of my passions. Knowing how to leverage the internet and the web to market businesses, build social networks, and ultimately – to create – has been incredibly valuable.
In addition to my passions for web design, holistic health, and personal development, I enjoy bicycling, singing (I’m a classically trained Tenor!), sustainable living, permaculture, and autodidactic learning – or unschooling (the belief that the world itself can be one’s classroom, and that learning happens best when it is guided by our individual passions).
It is my pleasure to serve you in putting your passions on the web, and helping you put those passions in play in a bigger way in your life – so that you can better share with the world what you feel you were put here to do!
“Find what’s Alive in you and go and do that. For the world needs more people who have come alive!”
